“What reason could you have for not fighting in the Way of Allah – for those men, women and children who are oppressed and say, ‘Our Lord, take us out of this town whose inhabitants are wrongdoers! Give us a protector from You! Give us a helper from You!’?”
(An-Nisaa, 4:75)
The town (القرية) in this verse is referring to Makkah. The oppressed Muslims of Makkah made dua to Allah asking for help and the Islamic State led by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ responded. The Muslims liberated Makkah with the Islamic State’s army and freed the oppressed men, women and children.
Today the Muslims of Syria are making a similar dua but with the absence of the Islamic State (Caliphate) there is no one to respond to them.
We pray that the people of power (nusra) in Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and elsewhere soon realise their duty and re-establish the Caliphate in their lands which will free the oppressed men, women and children of Syria and the entire Muslim world.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“The place of assembly of the Muslims at the time of the war will be in al-Ghouta near a city called Damascus, one of the best cities in Syria.”
