Allah (Most High) warns those who do oppression that they cannot escape justice, since He is أَحْكَمِ الْحَاكِمِينَ “the most decisive of judges”,

وَسَيَعلَمُ الَّذينَ ظَلَموا أَيَّ مُنقَلَبٍ يَنقَلِبونَ

“Those who do wrong will soon know the kind of reversal they will receive!” (Ash-Shu’araa, 26:227)

In the time of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ the top 5 mockers of Islam were:

1. al-Aswad bin al-Muttalib bin Asad Abu Zamaa
2. al-Aswad bin ‘Abdu Yaghuth
3. al-Walid ibn al-Mughira
4. al-As bin Wa’il bin Hisham
5. al-Harith ibn al-Tulatila

Jibrael (Angel Gabriel) came to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ when these five were going round the Ka’ba. When al-Aswad bin al-Muttalib passed by, Jibrael threw a green leaf in his face and he became blind.

Then al-Aswad bin ‘Abdu Yaghuth passed by and Jibrael pointed at his belly which welled with water so he died of dropsy.

Next al-Walid ibn al-Mughira passed by. Jibrael pointed at an old scar on the bottom of his ankle (the result of a wound he received some years earlier as he was trailing his gown when he passed by a man of Khuza’a who was feathering an arrow, and the arrowhead caught in his wrapper and scratched his foot-a mere nothing). But the wound opened again and he died of it.

al-As bin Wa’il bin Hisham passed by and Jibrael pointed to his instep, so he went off on his donkey making for Al-Taif. He tied the animal to a thorny tree and a thorn entered his foot and he died from it.

Lastly al-Harith ibn al-Tulatila passed by. Jibrael pointed at his head and It immediately filled with pus and killed him.*
