Conclusive Proof that the Qur’an is the word of God

On Miracles, Messages and Proofs The discussion regarding the conclusive proof of the existence of god, even once one concludes that He undoubtedly exists is really not a religious discussion. It does not necessitate that one become a Muslim, a Christian or a follower of any faith, merely that one believes an unlimited Creator exists.

Importance of Enlightened Thinking not Blind Faith

Sir Abdullah Archibald Hamilton Bart, formerly Sir Charles Edward Archibald Watkins Hamilton, embraced Islam on 20th December 1923. A well-known English statesman, fifth baronet of the first (1770) and third baronet of the second creation (1819) Sir Abdullah was born on 10th December 1876. He was a Lieutenant in the Royal Defence Corp. and was also the President of the Selsy Conservative Association.

The Need for Messengers

Mankind is driven to satisfy his organic needs and his instincts, and without any form of criterion for right and wrong surely he will go astray. The annals of history are full of man’s oppression of man. Greed, selfishness, killing, monopoly, and vice are manifestations of man fulfilling his survival instinct. If man is prepared to go as far as killing others in satisfaction of his needs , then surely man is in need of control over his actions. Without a criterion for action the striving for satisfaction of mans needs will lead him to constant conflict with others. One man’s freedom is anothers slavery. God has not left man to his own devices, man has never been free to undertake his life in which ever way he feels best. It is wholly consistent with our perception of man as being limited, dependant and imperfect, that for man to bring his own way, his own system, would be false, due to man’s limited understanding of life. Man is always subject to bias, disparity, differences, contradictions …

Proof of God

This is an excerpt from the book The Divine Reality: God, Islam and the Mirage of Atheism by Hamza Andreas Tzortzis. Imagine you find yourself sitting in the corner of a room. The door that you entered through is now completely sealed and there is no way of entering or exiting. The walls, ceiling and floor are made up of stone. All you can do is stare into open, empty space, surrounded by cold, dark and stony walls. Due to immense boredom you fall asleep. A few hours pass by; you wake up. As you open your eyes, you are shocked to see that in the middle of the room is a desk with a computer on top of it. You approach the desk and notice some words on the computer screen: this desk and computer came from nothing.

The Importance of reciting Qur’an during times of fitna: “Only in the remembrance of Allah can the heart find peace.”

In recent times not a day goes by without a new trial emerging and a new part of the Muslim Ummah facing tests. When we read the news of Muslims being oppressed in Palestine, Syria, Burma, Uzbekistan, China, Russia, Yemen, Europe, CAR and so on, the situation can seem bleak with no respite in sight. However, it is at times like these when we must become closer to the Qur’an as it soothes the hearts and provides good news to the believers.

How much will the Caliph get paid?

In most Muslim countries today the ruler and his extended family are some of the wealthiest individuals in the nation and in some instances even the world. According to the official 2006 Forbes rich list of world leaders, the top three richest leaders are in Muslim countries.

Islam’s view towards Freedom of Speech

Islam and Freedom of speech has become a contentious issue in recent times. The limits of what is, and what is not, acceptable speech is becoming a new battleground between Islam and the west. The issue came to a head in September 2005 a few days before Ramadan when the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten printed insulting and blasphemous cartoons of our noble Prophet ﷺ.

DHIMMI: Non-Muslims in the Caliphate

The position of non-Muslims living under Islamic rule (dhimmi) is a widely misunderstood topic. Those wishing to attack Islam and its systems portray Islam’s treatment of the dhimmi as worse than its treatment of animals. Historical incidents where dhimmi suffered persecution at particular times are generalised and quoted out of context in order to back up their claims.

A Tale of Two Soldiers

Abdul Waheed Majeed’s martyrdom operation where he freed hundreds of Muslim prisoners in Aleppo is condemned by Britain as ‘terrorism’. Yet there are many examples of British soldiers who undertook suicidal missions during WWII and they are labelled as heroes and receive the highest praise. One such example is James Conway, a British marine who undertook a suicide mission against the Nazis in WWII.

Could the Caliph be removed in a coup as happened to Morsi in Egypt?

There are three reasons the Caliph cannot be removed by the army in a Caliphate. 1- The army is cultured in the Islamic ideology which it works to protect and propagate. Islam is the sole reason for its existence and what gives it motivation and life.  يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَجِيبُوا لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ “O you who believe! Respond to Allah and to the Messenger when He calls you to what will bring you to life!” (Al-Anfaal, 8:24)
