The source of this mawdu (fabricated) narration is the book, ‘The Lawful and the Prohibited in Islam’ by Sheikh Yusuf Qaradawi, p.336 which states: The Prophet ﷺ said, “He who hurts a dhimmi hurts me, and he who hurts me annoys Allah.” Narrated by At-Tabarani in Al-Awsat on good authority. However, if we refer to Tabarani’s Al-Mu’jam Al-Awsat we find a similar narration numbered 3607, but instead of ‘dhimmi’ it says ‘Muslim’.
A Tashkent court jailed eleven Muslims who met to pray and discuss their faith for up to six years. Several testified about torture (including a threat to rape one of the Muslim’s wife in front of him). The court ignored the testimony. Three Protestant Christians were given 15-day terms.

He said, “O my people! Worship Allah—you have no other god except Him. Allah (Most High) says: يا أَيُّهَا الَّذينَ آمَنوا أَوفوا بِالعُقودِ “O you who believe! Fulfil your covenants.” (Al-Maaida, 5:2) The alif lam on the word Al-Uqud is alif lam of jinsiyah (genus) which means it includes all types of contracts and covenants. According to Imam Al Raghib Al Isfahani, the Uqud (covenants) referred to in this verse, ‘are of three kinds: 1- the covenants between Allah and man, i.e. man’s obligations towards Allah, 2- between man and his own soul, 3- and between the individual and his fellow men So this command includes ruling contracts such as citizenship and treaties. At least 29 people have been killed in a blast inside the Coptic church of Marjeres in the Egyptian city of Tanta. A second blast later at a church in Alexandria killed 18 more. This is not the first bombing of Copts in recent years. Back in January 2011 another Egyptian church was bombed in Alexandria. In response we published an article Egypt’s Copts need the Caliphate which covered a number of points related to how Islam orders the good treatment of dhimmi (non-Muslim citizens of an Islamic State) and prescribes severe punishment for those who harm them.
وَمَا نَقَمُوا مِنْهُمْ إِلاَّ أَن يُؤْمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَمِيدِ “The only reason they punished them was because they had iman in Allah, the Almighty, the All-Praiseworthy” (Al-Buruj: 8)
